Husdyragardurinn is in the heart of Reykjavik in Laugardalur Valley

Transport by bus

The busses stopping close to the park are routes 2, 5, 15, and 17 at the intersection of the streets Suðurlandsbraut and Vegmúli-the bus stop is called Laugardalshöll.

The Park and Zoo are located in Laugardalur Valley and share parking spots with the Skautahöll ice rink and the Botanical garden of Reykjavik. The parking spots can be used free of charge.

The Hop-on, Hop-off bus stops in the vicinity of the park at the Hilton Hotel and the City Hostel. The park is an ideal place to make a stop when sightseeing around the city.

Horse led under children on weekends from 14:00 to 14:30 during the winter. Winter opening from August 13th 2018 to June 1st 2019

The restaurant is open every day until a half hour before the park closes.

Annual family pass

This is definitely the pass giving you the best value when you often visit the park and zoo. With the annual family pass, the whole family has unlimited access to the park and zoo on top of full access to the park's rides when they are running. The greatest thing about this pass is just how family-friendly it really is. It doesn't matter how big your family is—the pass costs the same.

The person registered for this pass gets access to the park and zoo during normal opening hours as well as a park ride pass when they're running. This pass is only for the person it is registered to on the card.

The Plus-upgrade
ISK 10,000 per Plus-upgrade

With the Plus-upgrade, annual pass holders can bring a guest who gets all the same benefits annual pass holders are entitled to. With +1, you can take one guest along per visit; With +2, two guests, and so on. The Plus-upgrade isn't limited to just one specific person. You're free to take whomever you want along each visit. 
The Plus-upgrade is valid as long as the Annual Family Pass
