Rabbits are herbivores and have four front teeth, they are of the order Lagomorpha. Rabbits are similar to rodents, although rodents only have two front teeth. The extra set of teeth help rabbits to grind down their lower incisors, which continue to grow during their whole lives. The rabbits we know today in Iceland as pets are descendants of wild rabbits from Europe and Africa. They are most active at twilight and sleep more during the day and at night. Rabbits reproduce quickly and one pair can produce 13 million descendants in around three years. They develop after 4-6 months and are ready to reproduce immediately after giving birth. Their young are born without hair and are blind.
