Private car

The family and petting zoo is located in Laugardalur and shares parking with the Ice Rink, where free parking is available.

Cycle and walk

Bicycle and walking paths lead to Laugardalur from all directions. Bicycle racks are at the entrance to the park.

Important notes

Guests are not allowed to bring pets into the park. All traffic on bicycles, scooters, skates, skateboards and other such vehicles is not permitted for visitors within the park

Not just farm animals

The Zoo has a lot more to offer then people realize. Apart from the obvious farm animals, you can visit arctic foxes, reindeer’s and seals, in addition you can visit our small selection of exotic animals.

Fun for all, every day all year round

Our funfair is open every day in summer though some of our playground equipment’s are open all year round.

Food and beverage

“Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur” are in charge of all food and beverage sale at the park. They are open every day at parks opening hours from April 2nd to end of September. However we offer our guests electric grills to use free of charge, so we encourage our guests also to bring their own food to cook.

Educational program

There are courses on offer for kindergartens and primary schools, either in the form of guided tours or hands on learning. We really encourage teachers to actively take part on class trips and be readily accessible to the zoo’s staff. We therefore ask teachers to prepare well for their visit, so that the field trip can be as productive as possible education-wise.
