The Driving School in Kátugata (Happy street)

The Family Park and Zoo and the Icelandic Transport Authority wish to draw guests’ attention to the Driving school at the park. The school offers a fun adventure, where children can drive down the street, Kátugata, the street in the ITA´s education pamphlets for Icelandic children about transport. The driving school also offers traffic education, and children have a chance to practice traffic control rules with the Traffic Goblin and the kids of Kátugata.

Children aged from 3 to 7 living in Iceland automatically become pupils of the ITA´s traffic school in the year when they reach three years of age, and from then on, they receive the school’s education material two to four times a year by post free of charge until they are seven years old. For more information, please visit www.umferd.is.

Please note, drivers in the Driving School must be between 105 and 150 cm tall.
