Reykjavík Park’s and Zoo’s sheep will be shorn on Sunday, March 9th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Farmer Jón from Mófellsstaðakot will be in charge of the shearing and will educate visitors about this regular task that shearers do on every farm. When the sheep are shorn at this time of year, the sable is shorn, but the last shearing was at the beginning of last Advent.
The usual admission fees apply and guests can visit the other animals and see the feeding program around them as usual. We would like to remind you that due to construction work in the reptile house, it is temporarily closed.
