The mares Fífa (palomino), Freyja (black with a star) and Kengála (black) are currently staying at the zoo.

The rides will be closed this coming Saturday the 16th of September. The carousel and drop tower will be open this Sunday the 17th from 12:00 p.m.

Teachers – please note
The staff in the Education department at the Reykjavik Park and Zoo has started to prepare for winter courses for students.
Opening hours in the next weeks
The school year is about to start therefore the rides that need staff to operate will be going into hibernation soon as our summer staff will be returning to school.
Husdyragardurinn – Viskuslod, an app with smart guided tours.
Now guests can download an app and take a guided tour about the animals at the zoo. The app is called Husdyragardurinn – Viskuslod and can be downloaded from AppStore and Play Store.
We have stopped selling tickets and day-passes
In the beginning of this year (2023), the decision was made to stop selling tickets and day-passes for the amusement rides.
Memmm at the Reykjavik Park and Zoo
The organization Memmm offers workshops in the park for families in June and July, this summer (2023).
The Driving School in Kátugata (Happy street)
The Family Park and Zoo and the Icelandic Transport Authority wish to draw guests’ attention to the Driving school at the park, a fun adventure for children.
