This spring and summer refreshments at the Park will be offered by the company “Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur” ,”the best hot dog in town” in English. They have a selection of refreshments, although the Icelandic national dish, hot dogs are their main attraction. The hot dogs come with all traditional toppings, some, or none. Guests at the Park will be able to purchase refreshments to eat in the indoor picnic area, although they can also buy hot dogs to grill on the outdoor grills by Iðavellir, the play area in the Family Park. Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur is one of the oldest companies in downtown Reykjavik, it was founded in 1937 and has been run by the same family from the beginning. The hot dog stand downtown is their most famous location, and many well-known people have tried the hot dog, including former president of the U.S., Bill Clinton and James Hetfield, the lead singer of Metallica.
Bæjarins Beztu are getting settled at the coffee shop at the Park and aim to start selling refreshments this Easter.
