Eva Bertilsson is visiting the Reykjavik Park and zoo between 10-14th of March. Eva is an internationally renowned educator and behaviour specialist. She has a master’s degree in behaviour analysis and has a lifelong learning history of animal behaviour and training. Eva uses positive reinforcement training to enhance the quality of life of individuals in her care.
Eva will share her extensive knowledge about animal training with staff members and the public at the Reykjavik Park and zoo. For the first three days of her visit Eva will teach her training methods to the staff at the zoo. The staff hopes to benefit from her education by learning new methods that may strengthen bonds with the animals. This visit is also an opportunity to deepen an understanding of positive reinforcement methods in animal training. One of our main goals is to use positive reinforcement methods to train the animals for routine veterinary inspections.
The zoo will offer a workshop for professionals working with animals on Thursday 13th of March. Members of the public will have the opportunity to gain knowledge about her training methods on Friday the 14th of March.
A limited number of slots are available for participants on both these occasions.
