Dining set recalled

The Reykjavik Park and Zoo in consultation with the Reykjavik Health Department have decided to recall a dining set sold at the souvenir shop.
Dog days continue on Wednesdays

We will continue to allow responsible dog owners and their dogs to visit the Reykjavik Park and Zoo on Wednesdays.

Here is the feeding and education schedule for the animals at the zoo this summer (2023).
Summer opening from the 1st of June

After the 1st of June and during this summer, opening hours at the Reykjavik Park and Zoo will be extended. The park will be open every day between 10:00 and 18:00 (open until 20:00 on Wednesdays).
The cows were jumping for joy

The cattle at the Reykjavik Park and Zoo go out each day to get fresh air and exercise. Although recently the staff was able to release them out on the green grass for the first time this year.
Memmm at the Reykjavik Park and Zoo this summer

A contract between the Reykjavik Park and Zoo and the organization Memmm was recently signed. Memmm will offer workshops in the park for families in June and July, this summer (2023).
Sea Voyages on the Straits continue

The company Faxaflóahafnir and the Reykjavik Park and Zoo have decided to continue in collaboration on the project “Sjóferð um Sundin” or Sea Voyages on the Straits.
We welcome everyone on Multicultural day at the Park

The Reykjavik Park and Zoo will transform into the Multicultural Park next Saturday, the 13th of May when Multicultural Day will be celebrated.
Lambing season has begun at the Zoo

The lambing season began at the zoo last Wednesday, the 10th of May when the ewe “Flekka” gave birth to three lambs.
Educational talks every weekday

From the 8th of May and throughout this school year the staff in the education department will take a break from traditional guided tours. Instead, there will be two open educational talks every weekday at 10:15 and 11:15 AM.
